Tevah Team

Our mission is to guide the TBE Community towards environmentally-friendly choices and help reduce waste on our campus. We recently helped our schools achieve the Florida Green Schools’ Green Apple designation from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection for our commitment to conserve and protect Florida’s natural resources. Temple Beth Emet is the first and only "Jewish Green” school in Florida under this program!

5 FACTS ABOUT SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT:

1. Using a bicycle instead of a car is not only a great workout, but will reduce the amount of greenhouse gas emissions!

2. Plastic bags and bottles take almost 1,000 years to decompose!

3. An average American family will use up to 260 gallons of water in their home each day!

4. 60% of total global greenhouse gas emissions are due to the use and need for energy!

5. It can take glass over a million years to decompose; so it is better to repurpose it and reuse it several times, as this saves us energy.
